What to say instead of "Quick question"
It is one of the most overused cold-email subject lines and openers in existence, so spam filters and trained inboxes flag it on sight. Worse, it almost always lies: what follows is a pitch, not a quick question. The bait-and-switch erodes trust the instant the reader realizes the 'question' is a setup, and many delete before they even open.

When to use it
If you actually have a single, specific, genuine question, ask it directly and name the topic. Never use 'quick question' as a wrapper for a pitch. The strongest version states the real subject so curiosity is earned, not manufactured.
