What to say instead of "Thank you for your time"
On a cold email it thanks the reader for something they have not yet given, which is presumptuous, and it is such a default closer that it reads as autopilot. It also subtly reinforces the imposition frame, that you took their time, and adds a line of pure politeness with no movement toward the next step. Filler gratitude wastes your most-read real estate: the last line.
