Yahoo Mail sending limits
Yahoo Mail (free)
| Account / daily limit | Yahoo deliberately does not publish exact figures; observed practical limits are ~100 emails/hour and ~500 emails/day per account. Via SMTP the documented cap is 500 outbound emails/day. |
|---|---|
| Send rate | ~100 emails per hour observed. |
| Recipients per email | 100 recipients per message. |
The account cap is not a cold-email volume
Yahoo is a consumer mailbox with no custom-domain authentication path, so the ~500/day number is irrelevant for cold outreach -- treat safe cold volume as effectively zero. Yahoo is a destination you send TO, not a credible cold-sending origin.
Good to know
- Limits are intentionally undisclosed to frustrate spammers; numbers above are community-observed, not official.
- SMTP relay is hard-capped at 500/day with 100 recipients/message.
- Hitting a limit triggers a mandatory cooldown before sending resumes.
Scale safely past one inbox.
Real cold-email scale comes from many inboxes each sending a safe volume, not one inbox maxing its cap. Scheduler Zero spreads sending across warmed inboxes and paces it for you.
