Zoho Mail sending limits
Zoho Mail (paid / free)
| Account / daily limit | Outbound external mail is a DYNAMIC 50-500 emails/hour, adjusted by sender reputation, recipient engagement and contact quality (internal-org mail is 1,000/hour). There is no single fixed daily number; free plans sit at the low end of the dynamic range. |
|---|---|
| Send rate | 50-500 emails/hour, dynamically throttled by reputation; over-limit locks new sends for up to 1 hour. |
| Recipients per email | 150 recipients per message on paid plans, 100 on free (To/Cc/Bcc combined, external); 500 for internal-org messages. |
The account cap is not a cold-email volume
Even the top of the 500/hour dynamic band is throughput, not an inbox-safe cold volume. A warmed Zoho mailbox should keep cold sends to ~30-50/day (start low and ramp); the hourly ceiling is a burst guardrail, not a campaign target. New accounts/low reputation are throttled toward the 50/hour floor.
Good to know
- The dynamic limit means a new or low-reputation sender gets far less headroom than the 500/hour ceiling implies.
- Recipients-per-message differs free (100) vs paid (150) -- design batches to the lower bound.
- Over-limit cooldown is ~1 hour; other mailbox functions keep working during it.
Scale safely past one inbox.
Real cold-email scale comes from many inboxes each sending a safe volume, not one inbox maxing its cap. Scheduler Zero spreads sending across warmed inboxes and paces it for you.
